Hello, I've discovered something of a clue, and I need help exploring it. In the 1930 Clermont Co., OH census and in the 1920 Scioto Co., OH census, Elisha K. Hobbs' father is listed as born in Scotland, and his mother from Belgium. In the 1910 Scioto Co., OH census, Elisha's father and mother are both listed as born in Virginia. In the 1900 Scioto Co., OH census, Elisha's father is listed as from Delaware, and mother from Virginia. Alrighty, well, my question is, does the mention of Hobbs from Scotland or Delaware, or Fraleys from Belgium help place my Arthur Hobbs(9/10/1818-11/29/1878) and Mary Fraley(b.1820) with any particular Hobbs/Fraley family out there? Arthur Hobb's parents were Arthur(b.1775) and Mary(b.1775) Hobbs; and Mary Fraley's father was James Fraley. Arthur, the father, can be found in the 1800 Caroline Co., MD census and the 1820 Russell Co., VA census. I have no more information about James Fraley, other than his name which I discovered in Mary & Arthur's marriage record(2/12/1839 Floyd Co.,KY) Additional information: Another ancestor, Nancy Hobbs-Donahoo, who I believe is Arthur's sister, has listed in the 1880 Wayne Co., WV census that her father was from Delaware and mother from Maryland. I'd appreciate any information about Hobbs families living in Del/MD/VA around 1775. Notify Administrator about this message?
