Edward H. Hobbs > Maine, IL, NC, GA, AL (1830-1900's)
I'm trying to find some links between the following Hobbs family. Apparently on a 1880 census it shows Edward H. Hobbs of Dallas County (Selma) Alabama being married to an Eliza with 3 daughters: Eliza, Jessie and Fanny J. On an 1900 Census: Edward H. is married to a Frannie or Fannie with the following children: Jessie, Edward H. Jr and Samuel. Jessie was 4 on the 1880 census and on the 1900 census she is listed as being 24 which matches up and they are taken in the same county and town of Dallas; Selma, Alabama. Edward H. Hobbs was born about 1841. If this is the same Edward H. Hobbs - where is the family? Also: it lists Edward H. as being born in Maine and his parents both of Maine. First wife (Eliza) was from Illinois and their daughter Eliza (same name) was born in Illinois. Yet, Fanny and Jessie (daughters) were born in Alabama. Samuel and Ed Jr. also born in Alabama and Frannie/Fannie the wife was born in N.C. as well as parents per the federal census.
Also, My GGrandfather was killed by a train in 1911 (October) in Houston county "Ed Hobbs aka E.D. Hobs" yet I have not been able to find any of the ancestry links or relatives. If you have information please e-mail me @ [email protected] and please no spam mail - it is all deleted without viewing anyways.
