Like you , I keep going back to those Buchanan Co people, but my HOBBS never say they were in TN, John born @1802 always says Va, but again that don't mean a lot. Those census were so messed up at times.
I also seen somewhere while researching that Pleasants name was George Pleasant Hobbs. Now I am packing to go to Georgia to see Grandbaby #3, but when I get back next week, I will see if I can find where I seen that info.I am thinking it was a Federal Census I was reading.I would sure love to get all these Hobbs straightened out.My biggest mystery is why JOhn HOBBS had 4 girls in Logan Co 1840 census and I can't find them anywhere. He is listed as JOhn Hobbes/HObbles, THE CENSUS is blurred so it is hard to tell, I know it is him because his two daughters Mary and Martha are both born in Logan Co 1840 and 1842.
Oh well, got to go, but keep in touch, I have exhausted Va and Ky research looking for parents of my JOhn HObbs 1802, so I might as well travel to TN, hahah.
