Hi Aubrey,
I've been searching for John's parents for years so I'm very interested in what you have found.

Tell me why you think that he's the son of Dicy. Where did you find your 1859 reference? I have searched and searched and can't find the Devaults (Nancy's family) or the Hoboughs (John's possible family) except in Andrew Co., Mo in 1850 and then in Doniphan Co, KS in 1865. Have you found them in 1860?

I'm so glad you wrote. Also, your email address is bouncing when I try and contact you directly. Not sure why.
