Bill,
I have a copy of the original Widows Pension for Lucinda Baker m. to Andrew J. Hoybaugh (as is spelled on this document)in the Chickasaw Nation. The childrens names under 16 yrs. of age were Manerva and Robert. Manervas name was later corrected to Mary M. as it was found in an old family Bible. Lucinda and Andrew were m. the (14th or 18th) difficult to make out, day of Dec. 1854. It goes on to tell abt. the person who raised these children after Lucindas death. The dates are scratchy looking & difficult to read. It tells abt. Andrews discharge from army and his death date.
Later on the childrens names are written as Mary Manery and George Robert. This was notorized.
Hosea Parks was given a large sum of money to raise these children . Robert died in 1885. The dates really don't make sense in a lot of this.It states that Hosea Parks has been acquainted with the family since 1884.
In another affidavit says George Hoybaugh died 30th of May on Choctaw Nation in Allen tsp.(yr, 1895) This was stamped in 1898. Hoesa Parks was 38 yrs.old. Mary Manerva also went by Molly.
