Dear Gavin

Thanks so much for your posting. It sounds as though our respective Hobans left Johnswell in slightly different generations, but they could well have been first cousins. So all of this is most intriguing, and I'd love to hear more.

The Ballarat connection is also interesting, as my grandmother Hoban (nee Butler) came from Creswick/Ballarat.
