Floyd G. Hoard ...Fuzzy
Edward, Tom, Bob are the ones I remember, the neighborhood thouth that Fuzzy and me might some day have gotten togeather, he was older than I was and was away at college when I was in high school...I was elected head majorette but didn't go to school that next year because I got married, however I was the one that marched behind the band and did a lots of trick twirlling. remember we lined across the front of the Spalding county Band and then at the back was one girl at the end of the out side lines, then I marched about 10 feet behind those two girls. Joyce Robinson was Head majoretteduring the school year 49.
More on me meeting my husband, when I was around 10 years old I was on the corner in front of MCcellands 5 and 10, saw the band and told my mother I was going to be the head majorette, worked from then on to do so..then my husband showes on the corner across in front of Lanes, he was sent to Virginia and played well doing really well, played until May 1949 in Virginia, then was sent to the Pimentos to catch, I see where Rinker the catcher went up the next year, probably why my husband was called afterplaying first stsring in Virginia, my husband signed with Earl Mann and the Atlanta crackers on the same day Eddie Mathews signed, they were in different offices signing... My husband name is Floyd Laney (Dab)
