Linda-
I've traced through my data on the Hoar's who descended from David Hoar & Abigail Hitchcock, and have been unable to find Robert Blinkin Hoar b. 1818, Martha whom he married in 1853, a widow of Eady Hoar.
I did some research, and found in the 1851 Census of Canada, N.B. & N.S., a Martha Hoar, b. 1803, residing in Albert County N.B., who was the mother of Naoma, Rebecca, Eady, & John.No spouse was listed. I found an Eady Hoar, b. 24 Oct 1846, who may be the one listed in the census as her son.
I found a Robert Blinkin Hoar b. 06 Oct 1816, married to Martha Rodgers, children Martha & Ophelia. I was unable to establish any connection with James Linton Hoar, although it is curious that James' son George Mills Hoar was born 06 Oct. 1815,exactly one year before Robert Blinkin's birth date.
I've contacted Jane Wilie in the hopes that she might be able to find something in the Nova Scotia Archives.
Good Luck.
