It has been stated on the internet that an Elizabeth, a widow, (assumed Hixson, wife of John Hixson) sold property in Washington Co. MD in 1778 that her husband had owned. The witnesses were Joseph Hixson and Susannah (assumed Fidler).
However, many questions arise over this statement. Has anyone actually seen this deed? Where was Elizabeth living when the property was sold?
