Hello
I descend from another Susannah Hixson, b 1802 who married a Elisha Kirkland.
Her father is Ephraim and Rachel Hixson from North Carolina.
This is in her bible with their exact birth and death dates.
I believe Susannah Hixson DUFF, who was 2 yrs older.
Is the daughter of Joseph Hixson b 1760-1770 who was father to Alexander Hixson in Bledsoe county TN .
They are the closest family to Susannah Duffs family in the 1830 census.
Anyone have other ideas?
My susannah Hixosn Kirkland died in 1885, and her bible also lists the dates of a William Hixson who died in 1850.
One thing that complicated this research is that Susannah DUFF is next door to this William Hixson in 1850.
but My Susan HIXSON KIRKLEN is listed as Susannah in the Bible.
But I gues anyone of the sons or even the Sr Joseph Hixon could have been the father.
