William Hickson b. 1715 in Hunterdon Co., NJ. d. Sep. 19, 1770 Richmond Co., GA. (Wrightsboro). married Sarah Elizabeth (Unknown). Two of their sons were John & Seaborn.
I have no info on Seaborn Hickson but he would most likely be the father of the Seaborn Hickson b. 1799 you are looking for.
John Hickson b. abt. 1740 d. abt. 1776 in the Rev. WAR in GA. married Mary Ann Mooney b. 1757 d/o Joseph & Mary Moore Mooney. John & Mary had two children, Kezia and William. Kezia b. 1774 d. 1804 married Joseph Stubbs.
William b. 1776 d. 1854 in Gratis, Preble Co., OH. married Rachel Stubbs in 1798 Columbia Co., GA. d/o John & Esther Maddock Stubbs. They had seven children:
1.) John Hickson b. Dec. 19, 1800 GA.
2.) Mary Hickson b. Aug. 9, 1802 GA.
3.) William Hickson, Jr. b. May 11, 1804 GA. married Sarah Pearson.
This is the William you ask if he was kin to Seaborn Hickson. I don't know. But was most likely.
4.) Esther Hickson b. Dec. 12, 1808 Preble Co., OH.
5.) Samuel Hickson b. Nov. 19, 1810 Preble CO., OH.
6.) Rachael Hickson b. May 21, 1814 Preble Co., OH.
7.) Rebecca Hickson b. Dec. 27, 1816 in Preble Co., OH.
Note: This Hickson family had their name spelled Hixson and Hixon also. The Hickson, Moore and Mooney Family were
Quakers.
Widow Mary Ann Mooney Hickson's 2nd. husband was Samuel Brown. They left Washington Co., GA. in 1811 and in 1837 both were murdered by their own slaves at Rials Creek, Simpson Co., MS. They were my GGGG Grandparents.
