I've found that Höchstenbach is a regonial name.It most likly given to families who lived in the area when it was first being formed but that's just my speculation. Hixenbaugh is just the Americanized version of it.
The Höchstenbach/Hixenbaugh family has been in American since 1744, before the Revolutionary war. Here is what I have going back to 1619. Most of this was assembled by Joe Oliver, I’m currently trying to contact him to get a full list of source material to verify the information, but with talking with other family members and some online resources that I’ve found it seems pretty accurate.
I have the other birthdates, just haven't gotten around to putting them all in.
