Hello,
Just recently I discovered, bij searching the web, that there is a connection between the name Hixenbaugh and the name Hochstenbach.
I am married to a Hochstenbach. It´s a name that´s in a certain part of the Netherlands is very common.
I kwow for a fact that there is a place in Germany that´s called Höchstenbach. A few years ago we stopped there for a while on our way back from another place. I have the feeling that there must be a link between the name and the place. So far I hadn´t been able to proof it.
Does anyone know when and how the name Hochstenbach evaluated into Hixenbaugh?
Are there many Hixenbaugh´s in the United States? I am not aware of any Hixenbaugh in the Netherlands.
Does the name Hochstenbach still exist in the United States?
