Dr. John Archibald Hix, b-March 3, 1813 in Chariton County, Mo. and died 1849 in Saline County, MO., was son of Archibald Hix, Dr., and Nancy Woodson. John A. Hix married Amanda Jane Smith in 1837 in Saline County. Amanda was born in 1821 in TN and died 1854 in Saline County, MO. Amanda & John were married at the home of Col. John Smith; he could be a relative or her father. Who was her mother? Any info appreciated.
