I would be interested in knowing why you think they are brothers. Please let me know because I would like to add Maberry Hitt to my records.
The Peter W. you refer to is probably Peter Whitfield Hitt, son of Lazarus Hitt and Edna Fache. Lazarus was born in 1801 or 1802 in SC and died in 1859 in MS. Edna's birth date is less clear to me, but she died in 1888 in MS, also.
