Here is what I have found out so far about my family.
Zachriah S. Dalton married Mary _____ about 1820 in Rutherford County Va and moved to Monroe County Tn. They had at least 9 childre and probably more. Their 4th child Mary was born April 1, 1831 and she married Robert Hitson. Their 9th child was Martha Malinda who married Calvin Dye Hitson. Martha and Calvin remained in Monroe County in the Hopewell community.
Mary and Robert are my relatives and they lived in the Coker Creek area of Monroe County and had 2 children.
Salina J who married David Daniel Dalton and they had 15 children.
Their second child was my great-grandfather Eli (E.D.) Hitson, he married Lucinda Raburn and they had 5 children.
(1) Matilda (who I can't find anything about other than on the 1910 Monroe County Census whe was 22 and living at home. (2) George Washington who was my grandfather, he married Gertie Mae West and they had 10 children (3) John who married, had at least 2 children and moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon. (4) Horace who married 1st Gertie Collins and 2nd Lillie Dalton (5) vera who married John Swanson, she died at the age of 27.
Eli and Lucinda evidently lived in Louisiana for a while because Vera who was born Oct 30, 1903 was born there.
