Martin I had some hope that George may have been my great grandfather's brother as they were born about the same time and both were RR Engineers. My ancestor was with the Missouri Pacific RR but I could not determine from Geaoge's Death Certificate what RR he worked for. Did you get George's Death Certificate off of the Missouri governmental site? It doesn't leave any doubt that its your George as his mother and father's name are the same as what you already had. If you would like me to search further for you, contact me directly at hirst1@yahoo.com You may be able to help me as I'm at a "brick wall" on the UK connections for my GGF John Hirst who left Liverpool in 1857. He was born in 1837, I believe in July, but don't know where or who his parents were. I think that my GGF's children may give a good clue as to some of his family's given names back in England. If you can't access the Missouri site for some reason, let me know your email address and I'll copy the certificate and email it to you. Dick Hirst Notify Administrator about this message?
