Lisa,

Yes. We are related. I found the marriage index in the Yorkshire BMD index. I sent money this week to Leeds to have the record mailed to me. The index lists George Hirst, Elizabeth Bilbrough, married in Leeds - St Mark Woodhouse church, 1849. Hopefully, the actual marriage record will tell us the date, fathers names and possibly residence addresses.

Do you know the source of your information for George's parents and their birth dates?

If the names and dates that you have for George's parents are true, then I have birth and marriage records for George Hurst (b Feb 25, 1795 Rothwell, Yorkshire - parents Joseph Hurst and Esther Oliver) and Hannah Keighley (b May 10, 1797 Rothwell, Yorkshire - parents Samuel Keighley and Harriott) They were married September 11, 1816 in Rothwell.

I also have George Hirst (christened Jul 25 1824 in Rothwell, Yorkshire)

I hope this works out. I will be more certain when I get the marriage record!

Jerry
