Hi,

I found your George and Harriet Hirst in the 1881 and 1871 Census living in Brightside Bierlow parish, Sheffield.

In the 1871 George is listed as a journeyman joiner. Wife Harriet born in Bradgate. There is a son George, three months old. He may have died, because he is not in the 1881 census record.

The 1881 census has son William E. 9 months and daughter Martha A. 4 years old.

There are many George Hirst born in 1838 in Leeds. I did find a possible 1851 with sister Ann, father Joseph.

Did George have younger siblings besides Ann?

Regards,

Jerry
