It would appear that the only Hirsts in England are in Yorkshire, however there is a Lancashire side to the family.
All these living around the Rochdale area and to date I can go back to 1794. Samuel Hirst (1875-1919) had 2 sisters and one brother.
Lottie died within a year of birth(1881) whilst Sarah (1882-1956) married in 1906 to Oscar Nicholl. There were no children. Now Edgar (1878-1947) married (1898) Sarah Butterworth, they had 7 children.
What I would like to know is where are these 7 children now? Who are they? I would imagine there are now grandchildren? Perhaps one of them would email me and introduce themselves. Please do!!
