My name is Stephen Hippler and we are related through John Hippler and Elizabeth Kuhn. We communicated several years ago, and you were kind enough to send me copies of some of the documents you had gotten copies of. I do not remember if I ever thanked you, or wrote you back to tell you how much I appreciated that, but wanted to take the opportunity to do so now, for that info as well as what I recently found posted on this webiste. I have always been so very interested in my family genealogy, but unfortunately I have never been able to devote the time, energy or money to be as active in research as I would have liked to. Every now and then I try to look around again, am am very glad I did, because that is when I saw your posting, albeit a year later.
I was so very excited to see this info! From what you sent me before, I always thought John's ancentral villiage might be Foritz ( it kind of looked like that on one of the documents), and always hoped that I might be able to follow up on that some day. I am so glad that you were able to get the info you posted. It it rewarding to know more about where we really came from, but it has also made me wonder even more about things, like what the relationhip was between John's father and mother was, and about the permission issue from the church, and was John's father really that old when John was born!
Anyway, I just wanted you to know there is a Hippler family member out here who truly appreciates the time and efforts you have put into your research, as well as your sharing of that information. Thank you again. If it might be at all possible to get copies of any of the information listed above, I would be more than happy to compensate you for the expenses of the services, mailing, and your time.
