According to Greenwood Cemetery records published by the Fulton Co, IL, Historical & Genealogical Society, Henry Hipple of Canton, husband of Catherine Lingenfelter, died 9 Jan "1876/78." A newspaper article published in 1876 calls him "the late Henry Hipple." Yet an administrator's statement dated "May Term 1863," attached to his will, calls him "Henry Hipple deceased." Can anyone tell me what is going on here?
