On the 1880 Wayne County, MS census, there is a 77 year old Manerva Cook, living with Thomas Hinton and family. She is listed as mother. Next door is Tilmam T Bishop and his wife Clara Cook. Manerva is 15 years older than Clarissa(Clara). Could Manerva(Minerva) be Clara's mother? I know later there was a Horace Hinton who married a Bishop sister.
