Wilda,
No, I haven't seen the HINSON WIlls but the Gordon Browning Gen. Library in McKenzie, ( Carroll Co. TN ) I believe has copies of the pages of the FIELDS bible records. I believe the Fields bible was found in Anson Co. NC, as I recall. I didn't have a death date for Sarah/ Sally Hinson ( the dau. of Benjamin and Mourning Hinson ) so if you have the info from Carroll Co. TN that is probably correct on her. I had that she had first moved to Henry Co. TN ( from Anson ) after her husband James Fields had died in Anson. She and her adult children then moved to TN, with some going to Henry and others were in Carroll Co. TN ( like my GG Grandfather ALEXANDER FIELDS, son of Sarah Hinson and James Fields ). I am going to paste on the first part of the PHILIP HINSON/ HENSON family including sons BENJAMIN and CHARLES. Charles has few records in Anson but he is listed having been born between 1750-1759 and as a brother to Benjamin Hinson who was in Anson Co. NC, I had often wondered if it is this Charles b. 1750-1759 whom some are listing as father to George Punky and Short John ? The only other Charles Hinson is the son of Benjamin Hinson and Mourning ( thus a brother to my Sarah/ Sally Hinson Fields ) but this Charles Hinson b. 1763 SC and moved to Anson when he was only a few weeks old with his parents Benjamin and Mourning Hinson. This Charles Hinson b. 1763 had died in 1847 Anson Co. NC and has military records in Anson as he was in Rev. War. I have very little on the uncle CHARLES HINSON b. bet. 1750-1759 who also is probably in Anson as well. Let me know if you someday find that you connect to CHARLES HINSON b. 1750-1759 who is brother to my Benjamin Hinson b. 1740 VA who md. Mourning and had daughter Sarah/ Sally Hinson who md. James Fields. The FIELDS family are found in Barbados by 1666 and were ENGLISH SETTLERS of BARBADOS. I have just been working on their PARISH files in Barbados and found the connecting families of BULLOCK and PAYNTER who also were the ruling class in BERMUDA. They are listed as Tobacco Merchants in England but owned plantations in Bermuda and our Fields were in Barbados we believe as Sugar Cane Planters and owned plantations there and listed on some Wills of other families in Barbados. It is an interesting history in the Fields family who are considered to be FRENCH who arrived in England with William the Conqueror and were the Del a Field/ Feld family of France to England to Barbados to Onslow Co. NC to Anson Co. NC. Richard Fields and wife Ann Kirton arrived in Onslow Co. NC about 1738 - 1740 and it is thought their son SMITH FIELDS ( Father to JAMES FIELDS who md. Sarah/ Sally Hinson) was born in 1740 in Onslow Co. NC but his older sibliings had been born in Barbados, per St. Philip Parish bastismal records in Barbados. The marriage records for RICHARD FIELDS listed he married KIRTON on Nov. 23, 1722 by License in St. Philips Parish, Barbados per Barbados Marriage Records. Their other records are of the Parish Baptismal records of two of their unnamed children, a son b. 1727 Barbados and a daughter, born 1731 Barbados, both in St. Philiip Parish. Richard and his father SAMUEL FIELD b. 1666 Barbados are both mentioned in other BARBADOS records as well. So the FIELDS family had been in Barbados at least from 1666 ( and probably before then ) from England until RICHARD FIELD arrived in Onslow Co. NC by about 1738 - 1740. Many of the FIELDS are listed being blond haired and blue eyed, and French heritage but lived in England until arriving in Barbados sometime prior to 1666.

Notes for NANCY HINSON:
Per files from Fields/ Hinson researchers we had the name of UNKNOWN WILLIAMS as the husband of NANCY HINSON the daughter of BENJAMIN HINSON and MOURNING HINSON, so until further research on Nancy and her siblings to determine docuementations I am posting in notes on those we have no documentations to prove their spouses. - Tina Rogers Beller, Junly 27, 2005.

Per files by Chuck Speed, he listed that NANCY "Pan " HINSON the daughter of Benjamin Hinson and Mourning Moreman married James Stewart Speed b. Mar. 16, 1775 Anson Co. NC. Nancy married Speed abt. 1800 in Richmond Co. SC ( Could this be Richmond Co. NC ? ) They had daughter Katherine Speed b. Oct. 16, 1804 in NC and then per Chuck Speed the notes found written by Morgan Brown IV on March 12, 1825 and placed in the Brown bible are the following :

" In notes written by Morgan Brown IV on March 12, 1826 and placed in the Brown family bible, he mentioned that JAMES S. SPEED married a HINSON in ANSON COUNTY and moved with his family to Montgomery County, Tennessee near the mouth of the Red River. The Speed family bible has her name and birth recorded. AFter the death of her youngest son, CHARLES STUART SPEED, in 1856 Weakley County, Tennessee, Nancy went to live with her daughter, SARAH ANN SPEED, who had married her first cousin, HENRY HINSON, and lived near Paris, Tennessee in Henry County, Tennessee. Nancy is buried in the HINSON family plot next to her daughter SARAH, in the ALLMAN CEMETERY, northeast of Paris, Tennessee. Her great, great grandson, Homer Charles Speed, Jr. of Amarillo, Texas placed a stone marker on her grave in 2002 along with another stone marker over the graves of Nancy's brother, OBADIAH HINSON and his wife MARY, who are also buried there.
