I am new to this, but i thought it would be interesting to ask fellow Hinojosas this: I asked my dad what our surname meant and he told me the history about the "hinojos" plant and such but also added an interesting comment. He told me that the first time the name Hinojosa was ever seen printed was back in the 15th century regarding a duke that fought alongside El Cid. If anyone knows anything more about this or thinks that this is false, please let me know.
