I am looking to confirm that Milt Hinkle, 10-15-1881, Bovina, Texas per his story, was the son of George Hinkle and Lula McConnell. He says that his mother moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas, shortly after Milt was born. George was sheriff of Ford County (Dodge City), Kansas from1881-1885.
