Mrs Elizabeth Hinkle, who departed this life at the family residence in Milnesville, Tuesday, was interred in Vine Street cemetery yesterday afternoon. Her death was the result of a cancer in the month. Deceased was born in Nescopeck, January 22, 1826, being at the time of her death 71 years, 6 months and 18 days old. In her early life she became a member of the M. E. church. She was twice married and was an affectionate wife, a loving mother and a good, peaceful and kind neighbor. For fifteen months she has been a terrible sufferer, but in all her sufferings has been wonderfully sustained by Divine grace. No murmuring expression has ever been known to escape her lips, always resigned to the Divine will. The Rev. J. C. Bickle attended to her spiritual graces and has been themeans of soothing her mind and contributing encouragements and blessings to her in all sorrows. May God reward her. Among all these months of sorrowand sufferings she has had the sympathy and kindness of the neighbors all around. Days and nights the kindness of the neighbors had been made manifest by strick attention to her necessities and nothing had been left undone that could in any possible manner contribute to her comfort. She has left behind to mourn her loss five sons and one daughter, Thomas, David, Elijaheeal,Wilson, Francis and daughter, Hannah, who has been her constant attendent. She is also a member of the same church as her mother, and is a highly esteemed and devoted Christian women, and is such in every way has been the means, by constant devotion, of giving solace and comfort to an afflicted mother, and by her progress and spiritual teachings has given her mother such incouuragement as to let her in the possession of bright prospects and evidence of her worth. Just before the day of her final triumph she was visited by Mr. C. T. Mason, who conversed and prayed with her, and as he did so she became wonderfully confident of her acceptance with God. Her hopes of heaven from this moment were wonderfully bright. She had at this visit amoment of spiritual happiness and pleasure not heretore experienced. Funeral services were held in the M.
