Sorry I have no information on Johannes. My family line follows Mary Anna Margaret Hinkle, who married George Teter in 1763 in Augusta County, Virginia. Mary Anna Margaret Hinkle was the daughter of John Hinkle and Maria Eschmann.

The children of George Teter and Mary Hinkle are:

Margaret Catherine Teter, b. 1765
Paul Teter, b. 1766
Jacob Teter, b. 1769
Joseph Harrison Teter, b. May 2, 1773
Isaac Teter, b. September 1, 1774
Susannah Teter, b. 1777
Mary Teter, b. May 20, 1779
Barbara, b. 1782
George Teter, b. September 19, 1784

The link between the Hinkle family and the Teter family is quite long. From information located in the Hacker's Creek Journal, Vol.X, Issue 1, Page 37, George Teter, with a family came from Germany to Pennsylvania with the Hinkles, then migrated with the family of Justus Hinkle to North Carolina, where Teter left his family while he returned to Germany on business. As he never returned and was never heard from, it was supposed that he was lost at sea. As the Hinkles had promised to care for his family until his return, they brought them with their own family to their new place of abode.

There were seven marriages alone between the Hinkles and Teters.

Like I said, I'm sorry I don't have more information on the John Hinkle you're looking for. But if, in fact, he was an older brother to John Justus Hinkle, I guess we're distant cousins! (very distant, it looks like!)

Good luck with your search. I'll let you know if I find any other information for you.
