My great grandmother was Mary (Hines) Salisbury. My understanding is that she was born in Donegal and her mother’s name was Margaret (O’Donnell) Hines. I believe that they were from either Barnesmore or Clougher, Donegal to be specific. My Great Grandmother married into the Salisbury family and had 2 children, Stephen and Anna. Anna (Salisbury) Lavelle was my grandmother. Mary (Hines) Salisbury died in 1917; at which time, my grandmother was sent to live with the Immaculate Heart of Mary sisters in Chester County, PA. My grandmother’s brother Stephen lived in New York City. The only other piece to the Hines puzzle I have is that I came across a WWI Draft Card for a person I believe to be Stephen Salisbury that lists a “Mr. Hines” as a contact. Mr Hines was living on Amsterdam Ave. as of 1918. Any leads out there would be appreciated. Thanks! -Seán Notify Administrator about this message?
