My maiden name was Hinde my father and grandfather were both born in Liverpool but I believe that my G-grandfather may have been born in Westmoreland ,my fathers name was Fred Charles born 1909,g-f Robert Matthew born 1883,g-g-f Robert married in Liverpool in 1882 but the only Robert Hinde listed in the 1881 census about the right age was born in Westmorland , I can find a Robert born in 1857 in Appleby Westmoreland whose fathers name was Matthew so it looks as though this is him and he named his son after his father. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
