George H. HILTS & Mary Eliza DOMINICK
I believe my gg-grandmother, Catharine HILTS, was the daughter of the above subject couple. She was born about 1837 at Schoharie, New York and was possibly from a town named Gillupville.
At LDS, I found A Katharine Eliza HILTS Christened 8 July 1837 at High and Low Dutch Reformed Congregation, Schoharie, Schoharie, New York. Her parents were listed as George HILTS and Mary E. Dominick.
Also at LDS, I found a marriage record for Mary Eliza DOMINICK and George H. HILTS in 1828 at High and Low Dutch Reformed Congregation, Schoharie, Schoharie, New York.
Although I have seen my gg-grandmother's name as Catharine, she was always called Kittie. Her daughter, also called Kittie, spelled her name Katharine (it is spelled that way on legal records and such). All of this leads me to believe that my Catharine HILTS and the Katharine Eliza HILTS on LDS are one and the same.
Therefore, I don't believe I would be waisting my time pursuing the lines of George H. HILTS and Mary Eliza DOMINICK. Any leads on this family would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Fredreica
