Dan and Martha Hills, 1780s-1810s, CT, MA, NY?
Hello:
Am looking for information on a Dan and Martha Hills. They had at least 2 children - Ashley P. Hills(1784-1812) and Cornelia A. Coke Hills (1784-1811).Both children are buried in Prospect Hills Cemetery in Kirkland, Oneida County, New York.Their tombstones state they are the son and daughter, respectively, of "Dan and Martha Hills".
The aforementioned Dan Hills could not be my ancestor Dan Hills (1780-1864), who is also buried in Prospect Hills Cemetery in Kirkland. However, my Dan Hills is 4 years older than Ashley P. Hills and Cornelia A. Coke Hills (both born in 1784), so it's possible that my ancestor Dan Hills is also a child of Dan and Martha Hills, and a sibling to Ashley P. and Cornelia Coke Hills?Does anyone out there have any information on this family?
Could this family be the family of Daniel Hills living in Glastonbury, Connecticut in 1790?It appears that some of the same Hills living in this town (Elisha, Lebbeus, John, etc.) at that time may have settled in Paris, Oneida County, New York, very close to Kirkland.
Any and all information regarding these individuals is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
