Hoping that John Hill, who has done mega research on this family will help solve my connection.
Or anyone familiar with this family. Can someone please clear up some info for me. I have reviewd a few great posts on numerous trees, and community sites(including one written by John Hills posted with his permission)that have Jesse, Hartford,NY, listed as son of Daniel, or of Nathan Hills. (Daniel is Nathan's father.) I have read materials including Hale house, HillsFIA, and early settlers of hartford (NY) None of which confirm, I found no mention under Daniel as Jesse's father in Hale House, or HFIA, I found info saying that Nathan Hills was his father, mentioned in Early settlers, but that would make Nathan 13 when he had him, it makes more sense that he was Daniel's last son as is indicated on numerous trees listed on this site, which would make him Nathan's brother. Our Henry S. Hills of Whithall, Granville, Hartford, NY is Jesse's son. If there is anyone with extensive history on this family, please let me know. This line seems to go back to the original settler in Mass, William Hills, so I would very much like to confirm our linage. Thanks in advance for your time. Jesse m.
