Hi Dick. Hope all is well in the great south. Wondered if you've checked the Familytree DNA site lately. The one test for us descendents of Samuel Hills of Duxbury seems to indicate that William Hills of Hartford is not our ancestor. Sponsoring another test to double check that.

On the Lyman thing, you probably know that a nephew of Phillis Lyman Hills married into the Cole family of Hartford. He settled in Lebanon in the 1690's as one of the proprietors there. The Coles of Hartford and the Coles of Plymouth Colony were related. Have wondered if this connection might account for the Hills of Duxbury who eventaully end up in Lebanon?
