Stephen- Have you considered getting the death records for Orin? There ought to be a cemetery record, an obituary, a social security record (check rootsweb SS index- its free). Seems to be something of a conflict as to Orin's parents.
I did not find any record of a Wixon in the written Hills genealogies as an individual who married into the family. Percy is a relatively rare name in the family as well.
Will do some further research.
Have you looked at the census at all?
