Hillock immigrants to U.S. before 1800--Henry Hillock

Hello,

I'm am trying to learn of the origins of the Henry Hillock (died 1800 in Fayette Co., KY) family. They came to the U.S. from either Scotland? or Ireland? sometime before 1800. Henry married Ann Bolton Walker, and their child was James Hambleton Hillix. The surname eventually changed to Hillix, but I've seen it in records as Hellox, Hillox, Hillocks etc. Through the years the family was in Ohio, Missouri, Kentucky, and Kansas.

Any help on this family or on the origins of early Hillock immigrants would be greatly appreciated.

Melanie Tucker
