George Abenor Hillock b May 18,1873 on Hillock homestead lot 24, Highway 10, Caledon to Mr. and Mrs. Moses Hillock
George married Martha Jane Jenkins (daughter of Edward and Martha (Bracken) Jenkins on Dec 18, 1907 at the Edward Jenkins farm Lot 10, Center Road, Mono.
Bridesmaid -Miss Bessie McQuarie of Caledon East cousin of the bride
Groomsman -his brother Bert Hillock
After their marriage the Hillock's farmed at Lot 16, 1st line East Caledon
In 1918 came west to Scotsguard, Sask. where they farmed until 1936 when they took up residence in Scotsguard.
George passed away at his home in Scotsguard from a heart attack on Nov 21, 1945 at the age of 72 years. Funeral service was held Friday Nov 23 from the United Church and burial in Scotsguard Lutheran cemetery.
(At this time 1945 was survived by his wife, son Howard, 2 brothers -Joe E. Hillock of Caledon Ont., and Bert Hillock of Hamilton, Ont. and - 2 sisters Mrs. George Torrance, Orangeville, Ont. and Mrs. Robert E. Lawson of Toronto, Ont.)
Martha Jane known as "Jennie" moved to Shaunavon, Sask. in 1952. She required care in a Geriatric center in Swift Current, Sask. and Shaunavon Hospital after falling and breaking a hip. She died Sept 9, 1968 in Shaunavon. Funeral service was held in the All Saints Anglican Church Shaunavon and is buried in Scotsguard Lutheran Cemetery.

Only child and son of George and Martha Jane (Jenkins) Hillock
Born at Caledon, Ont.
Came West with his parents in 1918 to the farm near Scotsguard, Sask. Farmed this land till 1976. Howard resided on the family farm for 54 years.

Born in Barnes County, Nome, North Dakota.
Came to Canada with her parents in 1927 to the Scotsguard, Sask. area.
Married Howard on March 3, 1936
Celebrated 50th Wedding Anniversary on March 3, 1986
Howard and Almeda retired from the farm to Shaunavon, Sask. and purchased her parents home at 356,2nd Ave E where they both resided until their deaths
