N. Ensley Cemetery, Newaygo Co. MI-HILLMAN Monument

I'm in the middle of putting together a row by row stone census of the North Ensley Cemetery, in Ensley Twp. Newaygo Co. MI.

I came across a large family monument for the HILLMAN family. William S. Hillman was married twice according to this monument. He lost young children. Where both of his wives are listed, he lists them by their maiden names and it reads, wife of Wm. S. Hillman. I know this tends to be a practice of LDS when they bury their wives. It makes it nice for genealogy researchers too. Anyway, one of the sides for the children reads, "Ida L. daughter of Wm. S. and Ann Hillman d. April 15, 1965 age 6 y. 4 m. 28 d.
Below this it reads: "George W. son of Wm. S. and Lavina L. Hillman. Died Sept.10, 1865 age 1 y. 18d."

My question is: does anyone know if this man practiced poligamy? I'm just throwing the question out there. The women appeared to be sisters. It is possible that he married Lovina/Lavina (her name is spelled both ways on the monument), after the death of his first wife. She might have had the baby George after she married him and then George passed after his half sister did in the same year.

William died in 1900, out living everyone who's listed on the monument.

I just wondered if anyone out there has information on this family?

Hopefully, soon, I'll have this finished (as it takes some time), to get these photos in order in a decent size to burn to a disk and I'll get them out to the coordinator for the Michigan Tombstone Project.
