I would like to know the same information! I am descended from this line through their son John. My great grandmother was Adellor Hillis, daughter of Lawson H. Hillis and Amanda Sparkman of Van Buren County, TN. Her second husband, James Preston Denney Jr., was my great grandfather. Their son, Colley Marx Denney, was my grandfather.

If I find any information about the parents of Samuel, I will certainly let you know.
