I have a book printed in Philadelphia in 1787 in which is handwritten: ----------------------------------------- Rebecah Hillier Daughter of John Hillier and Frances his Wife was Born the 7th of the 1st Mo. 1784(the final digit is smudged; I think it's a 4) and Died the 27th of the first Mo. 1786 Rebecah Hillier the yonger (sic) was Born the 9th of the 5th Mo. 1786 and Died the 5th of the 6th Mo. 1786 Elizabeth Hillier Daughter of John Hillier and Frances his wife was Born the 17th of the 6th Mo. 1788 Jonathan Hilyard's book ADom 1792 John Hilyard Departed this Life November ye 21st 1790 ------------------------------------------- The book title is "A Collection of Memorials Concerning Divers Deceased Ministers and Others of the People Called Quakers in Pennsylvania, New-Jersey, and Parts Adjacent from nearly the first settlement thereof to the Year 1787 with some of the last expressions and exhortations of many of them" It's over 400 pages, listing over a hundred names, in some cases giving parentage, origin, and birth/death dates, in others no mention of family or origin, just praising their devotion and listing when and where they died.
