George Macintosh Hilliard was my great grandfather. He was born in Troy, Alabama in 1856. He has 4 wives that I know of including Ida White. My grandfather was his youngest son with the last wife, Ella Thompson. George Macintosh Hilliard's father was George Washington Hilliard. He was born in Hilliard Crossing, Alabama in 1828. He died 2/26/1870 and is buried in Hilliard Crossing. His father was William Hilliard, who was born in North Carolina on 12/6/1786. I have just begun to research my geneology myself after the recent passing of my grandmother, Irby Mckenzie Hilliard, who was the wife of George Macintosh Hilliard, Jr. who was my grandfather. I would love to learn more about my family tree if you ever see this note.
