Hi Dortha,

Went to Gen. Society Lib. (we have a new one, very nice.) Concentrated on the state of S.C. & the surname Hilliard, within the time period of 1780's-1790's. Had good help & we looked at alot of S.C. books.

Found the item below in S.C. Marriages 1688-1799--pg. 273.

Thomas Wilson of Parish St. Pauls & Sarah Ninion, widow, 19 May 1744; license to Rev. Wm. Orr; James Hilliard of Charles Town, bondsman.

Charles Town renamed Charleston 1783.

Found nothing to link anyone to anyone, nothing there, no Silas or Silas W. nothing.

Some hop, skip & jump from Ga. to La. back in those days.

Congrads. on finding your Rogers & yes, John the Power Maker most interesting!!!

Know you are real busy at present time.

Billie
