Gladys Lucille was the daughter of Maggie L. Blair and Jacob Leondus Hillhouse. She was one of 10 children that I know of.
I have nothing on the Blair family.
Jacob Leondus was the son of Jacob Norton Hillhouse and Malinda K. Murdaugh. He was one of 11.
Jacob Norton was the son of Rachel Norton and Benjamin Montgomery Hillhouse. Rachel and Benjamin had 9 children. After Rachel's death, Benjamin married Eveline (Eve) Stephens and had 4 more children.
Benjamin was the Mary Montgomery and John Hillhouse. Mary was this John's second wife. The first wife was Cynthia Porter, the mother of 5.
John was the 3rd (of 10) child of Margaret Chambers and John Hillhouse - and the brother of my James Hillhouse who married Mary (Polly) Dickey.
