To any Hillary family, My Mary Hillary, six generations ago
married Henry Taylor. They had a son John W. Taylor about
1779 in Frederick Co., Md. Between 1787 and 1805 they were
in Hampshire Co., WVa living on the Great Cacapon River at
Timber Ridge. Their other children were born in Hampshire
Co., W.Va. and one north of Jamestown, Va. Their second son
was named Joseph Hillary Taylor which was the basis for
Mary's last name. I have no marriage Certificate for Henry
and Mary. Henry Taylor was born in 1757 and died in Washington Co., Ohio in 1823(they had moved to Washington
Co., Ohio in 1805). Mary Hillary Taylor died between 1811
and 1816, for she no longer signed documents with Henry
after 1811. If anyone has seen info on this Mary, please
post something or send a message to above e-mail or to my
other e-mail (janco@ev1.net). I also would like to know
if anyone has ever figured out all the different spellings
that Hillarys used? I have run into many variations. I think
what I will do is post another message on some info on
Hillarys that I found in Kent Co., Delaware, that I thought
