According to the book published in 1997 called "From the Archives of Butler county, PA" by Diana Geibel, p. 279, Alexander (Guy) Hillard was born in Ireland, came as a young man to Lancaster County, PA, was a pioneer of Venango Township, and was a Revolutionary War veteran. He was married to Margaret Chambers, who you can also look up in this book. I am interested in this famiy because my great-great aunt, Catherine Logue was married to Jonathan B. Hillard, Sr., the grandson of Guy and the son of John Hillard (married to Jenrette "Jane" McMillan). My ancestor John Logue also was an early settler of Butler County and an immigrant from Ireland. If anyone has any more information about Catherine Logue or Jonathan B. (J.B.) Hillard, I would be interested.
