I believe that there might be a connection between these two families. In another genealogy I found on line for the descendents of Mr Hillard, it shows Guy (Alexander) H. Hillard born about 1750-1759 and died about 1827. This Guy had a brother Charles born 1750-1759 and John born 1750-1759. It lists the wife of Guy as Margaret born about 1760, married after 1780-1789 and died after 1840.Their children included:
? Hillard born 1780-1789
Guy Hillard born 1780-1789. *This Guy is shown born about 1780-1789, married to Anne Margaret ? born about 1815, died after 1880. Among the 15 children listed for them was another Guy, born about 1806 and died before 1880
Charles Hillard born March 23, 1786, died March 03, 1870. *Charles is who we trace our lineage from
? Hillard born 1790-1799
? Hillard born 1790-1799
John Hillard born about 1793, died April 06, 1851
? Hillard born about 1800
? Hillard born 1810-1819
If we can untangle all the Charles, Johns and Guys, we might be able to understand our links to this family. Let me know what your cousin has to offer. Thank you.
