Hi Wendy! I am also connected I believe to the Hillibush/Hollobush Clan somehow (I'm still trying to figure out how). Been out of the loop for a while getting a new computer, new online service and putting in way too many hours at work. I lost a lot of my info on the computer due to a virus and am still putting info back in, plus I have tons of printed material from different websites, etc. to wade thru. Anyway I can go back to a Joseph and Catherine (Brennan) Hillibush living in Mahanoy Twp., Jacksons and Yatesville area on 1900 and 1910 census (I need to get back to the archives again). Joseph was born about 1855, was a coal miner, married to Catherine Brennan about 1881 maybe, had 4 children - Mary or Maria E. b. 8/29/1882 (married Patrick Flannigan), Joseph, Jr. b. 1886 d/ 1916, Hannah b. 1889 m. John McAndrew and Lydia b. 1895 or 1896 single, d. 1982 in Frederica, DE. Cathereine was b. about 1853 either in NY or PA and d. 1/29/1897 in Barrys, PA and buried in Mahanoy City, PA
Also, I believe this Joseph was the son of another Joseph and Lydia Hillibush. According to census of 1880 to 1850 there was a Joseph and Lydia Hillibush of Schuylkill Co., Mahanoy Twp., Yatesville or Mahanoy City (Orwigsburg? area). This Joseph was b. about 1825 in Berks Co., PA, was a coal miner and laborer, probably m. about 1846 to Lydia (?), d. I believe about 1894 in Jacksons, PA. They had numerous children - Frank b. 1846, David b. 1848, Mary b. 1850, Abraham b. 1851, Thomas b. 1853, Thomas b. 1853, Catherine (Kate) b. 1854, Clara b. 1856, Joseph B. (mine I think) b. 1858, Jacob b. 1860, Hannah b. 1864, Edward b. 1867, Dorah b. 1872, and William b. 1875. I'm trying to find he connection to the early Hollobush's, which I think is there somewhere.
Would love to have you email your GECOM files and look thru them. Forgive my lengthy inquiry, haven't had a chance to get online much lately and am sitting here with a stack of work I really need to get to, but am pro-crastinating for now. I'm also planning to talk to an Aunt in New Jersey within the next couple of weeks, saw her at a wedding and made arrangements to visit. Hope to here from you soon. Audi
