I just started researching my family tree about a year ago starting with a family newsletter "The Prosser Gazette". The Gazette is used to bring family members together and find information. My great great grandfather's name was Chauncy Hillicher married to Debbie Furfuson(may not be correct spelling). One of their children my great grandmother was Jane Elisabeth Hillicher who was married to William Prosser. William Prosser died during WW1 in France leaving three children, George Franklin Prosser (my grandfather),Vernon Wesley Prosser and Clarice Smith Prosser (my grandfathers twin sister). Jane Elisabeth Hillicher remarried to Johnny Roberts and sent her children to foster homes after the marriage. If anyone might be related let me know. There is a family story about a great great Uncle Ace Frely(Not sure of the spelling) who was blind from cataracts. He was related to Jane Elisabeth Hillicker. He and his wife owned a hotel in the Ontario region, one day Ace went out to the back shed to look for something and came across what he thought was the cat. The cat turned out to be a skunk and sprayed Ace in the eyes, some how after that he regained his eye sight. After taking a look at his wife of many years Ace decided to head for the high road leaving his wife. At the time Ace was in his 80's and the story has been passed down in our family. If this story sounds familiar to any Hillicker's we might be related. Also the Hillicker and Prosser families held a reunion every July 1st at Story Book Gardens in London, Ontario, Canada.
