The infomation i hve on John hiles Sr. is as you hve served in the Revolutionary War in Gaales Artiliary of Maryland from 1777-1783 m246 roll 33 John was born october 6,1752 inPA and died 1822 at McCluney Station Perry county Ohio

His family consisted of 5 children Andrew 1786, John Jr. May 12. 1788, Christopher 1789-he later moved to Hocking County Ohio which borders Perry County, Peter 1791 and Hannah 1794

John Jr. 1788-1875) served in the War of 1812 from Perry County in 1813 under Col Sanderson --records indicate he was 6' tall with dark hair and grey eyes.

His son Jackson 1835-1902 served twice in athe Civil War and his records indicte he was 5' 10 1/2 " and had dark hair and grey eyes. (This jackson is not to be confused with one of same name in Fairfied county with the same name also served in Civil War and was born 1836.)

Jackson died in Zanesville and is buried near McCluney Station. His daughter was Sarah Ellen Hiles and was my grandmother . Her youngest Child was Lee "Roy" Bradford my father--also dark hair and grey eyes.

Census records, Tax lists for Washington County which part of is now Perry county, National Archives
