Still looking for any leads on Dorothy H. Hiles, my grandmother, who, according to my mother's birth certificate, was born about 1902 in Michigan.
She was a woman of Native American ancestry and,likely, appearance. This has been confirmed by DNA test.
My mother's birth certificate has also been partially confirmed by a 1921 city directory and a listing for Dorothy H. Hiles employee and resident of the New Bay City Hotel on East Walnut St in Green Bay WI. On my mother's birth certificate she gives her occupation and residence as Telephone Operator in Green Bay.
I have not been able to locate Dorothy H. Hiles by name or particulars in any census for any of the indicated places or times.
